XERISCAPE:

is a style of landscape design requiring little or no irrigation or other maintenance primarily used in arid regions where Gecko Landscaping practices. It's all about planning and maintaining your landscape and watering efficiently. We work primarily in high desert climate where drought conditions prevail so we treasure water and our designs and execution reflect that. We are environmentalists at heart and believe that beauty can exist with minimal water use.

DRIP & SPRINKLER IRRIGATION:

Gecko Landscaping cares about Mother Earth and we create unique, special and colorful landscape designs that sip rather than gulp water. Drip irrigation is highly effective at supplying one to four gallons of water per hour directly to the soil. The advantage of drip irrigation over sprinklers is that there is little water loss due to evaporation or runoff, it is a much more controlled method. It works by exposing the roots to a direct supply of water. This method is facilitated by the use of drip emitters, which release water in a slow and steady fashion. We will make you feel good about the beauty we create and how you keep it thriving and beautiful.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING:

Lighting can be used to enhance, influence or brighten any space and is particularly important in sitting areas where family and friends gather. It also can be used very effectively to highlight plantings, define paths , patios, walls or walkways. We, at Gecko Landscaping, pride ourselves on the effects we create and the feelings we inspire.

STONE, WOOD, & METAL WALLS, WALKING PATHS, & PATIOS:

If we have a wheelhouse it is what we work with all types of building materials in all types of ways – some we haven’t even thought of yet. Gecko Landscaping is always looking to use recycled materials but can work with any material and create functional designs that will live forever. Defining spaces with fences, WALLS and borders can be a great outlet for the creativity bubbling up at Gecko Landscaping. Gecko Landscaping knows plants and those that thrive in our dry desert climate. Our goal is to provide color, constant color, and that can be done with planning and thought. We have developed sources for plants and trees all over the southwest and will go where we need to to provide the unique, the special, the treasured.

EROSION CONTROLANDHYDRO-SEEDING:

Hydro-seeding involves using a slurry of seed and mulch rather than broadcast seed or sod which is a lot more expensive. The advantages include that it can be completed in a very short period of time, can be very effective for hillsides and sloping lawns to help with erosion control and quick planting. We, at Gecko Landscaping,have been using this method for years with great success and it can be a great tool in REVEGETATING A DISTURBED ENVIRONMENT.
